Keeping the food truck craze alive
Through it all, Big Gay Ice Cream has never veered from their mission to keep the fun in ice cream.
By enlisting Big Gay Ice Cream aficionados to promote the brand and its new pints to fellow ‘Happy Treater Local New Yorkers’, we activated the Big Gay Ice Cream truck – a local, mobile ice cream parlor, for a happy Summer in NYC.
Designed to build brand awareness and drive buzzworthy key messaging, local tastemakers and opinion leaders — everyone from food critics to cultural bloggers to neighborhood associations and institutions, were introduced to Big Gay Ice Cream. Oh yeah, and we gave out tons-o-samples, of course!
The truck itself was the centerpiece with cool graphics, ever-changing flavors and a local spin, delivering delicacies and a respite from the summer heat at 22 locations across New York City for a 2-month window.
The team generated a stream of PR-friendly content sourced from cultural and community events, in-person sampling activations and other consumer interactions to support ongoing social conversations and digital promotion of Big Gay Ice Cream.
